Welcome to B Street Florals & Photography

Welcome to B Street Florals & Photography! I’m Beverly Grant and am thrilled to bring my passion for capturing life’s dynamic moments to families, youth athletes, and communities in Athens, GA, and surrounding areas. Specializing in youth sports and action photography, I aim to capture the spirit and movement that make each occasion unforgettable.

Photography for me is all about storytelling—capturing actions and emotions that show authentic joy and connection. Whether it’s parents playing with their kids, friends bonding over a game, pets in action, or kids celebrating at a birthday party, I strive to create photos that resonate and bring back vivid memories every time they’re viewed.

Youth sports photography holds a special place in my heart. There’s something extraordinary about capturing the intensity, focus, and pure joy in young athletes as they play. My goal is to reflect the spirit of every child and team, preserving moments that parents and athletes alike will cherish for years to come.

Thank you for choosing B Street Florals & Photography. I look forward to capturing your special moments, big and small, with the unique energy they deserve!

My Story

I was born in Athens and feel like I was raised on campus. For those of you who knew Claude McBride, he was preaching Georgia football from the pulpit from the time I was 2. I never stood a chance of becoming anything but a die hard Dawg fan! I graduated from UGA twice, once with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and then with a Masters of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling. I worked for the legal system, mostly as a counselor, for 27 years. The last fourteen years were spent in Athens working in the recovery community where I learned so much and made some great friends, retiring from the state in 2021. I began working as a mental health first responder in 2020 and continue to do that work. I am very excited to envision a time when I will be able to be a full time photographer and floral designer.
Two of the values that were very heavily stressed in our house when I was growing up were helping people and being creative. My dad insisted they were part of the recipe for health (I can’t remember the other two). In 2021 my friend Chanda and Divas Who Win (check them out – they’re WONDERFUL) hosted a book study, and I’m convinced that is what gave me the courage and the confidence to actually start considering photography and flowers as a career. I’ve been doing both for at least 20 years, sometimes getting paid and sometimes just for friends. There has never been a time in my life that I can remember that I haven’t loved pictures and using them to capture moments in my life. I think my experiences as a counselor and as an aunt have taught me to value even more capturing moments in photos where the viewer can see the emotion in them.
